Parish Council Announcement

Following attendance at South West Wilts area board (SWWAB) Fovant PC are pleased to announce they have secured funding for some village pop up events which Fovant Youth club will run and host @ The Waterside, High Street & potentially other venues in the village.

The PC hopes the funding will be the start of a renewal of youth activities in the village and further details from the Youth Club will follow once the activities and a timescale has been agreed.

The youth club is low on volunteer numbers, please contact the Clerk if you would be prepared to help with the activities when they are running.

Bonfires

Whilst we are all aware of our rural setting and that bonfires are part of country life, respiratory illness in all generations is a growing trend, with bonfires causing exacerbation in diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructed airways.

Please could we ask that if you’re considering having a bonfire, you resist lighting it until after dusk when most residents will have closed windows and doors.

Your kind cooperation would be gratefully appreciated.
